Pigs, Dogs, & Sheep

Pigs: Hypocritical, self-righteous, authority figures
Dogs: Aggressive ruthless cutthroats

Underground Garage Fest: What A Show!

My breakfast consisted of a V8 peach mango drink from 7-11 and a free donut from the neighboring Krispie Kreme...we freaked Kari out cause it was so damn early...8am...

JoMo drove...Grand Central Parkway...we were fine.....up until the toll booth....
The fucking exit to Randall's island is to the extreme right....just after the toll booth...
I mean...RIGHT after the booth....pay the toll...then BAM!
Couldn't drive 3 lanes over...so we just went straight...
Once we got our bearings straight we headed towards the Triborough...paid the toll again...and finally got there...

Bought tickets and they let us in at around 10:30...
Non-stop rock n' roll for 12 hours...it was great...
Rock n' roll for the 21st century...I wanted to kill that guy in the banana suit...and the British guy too....

About 40 different bands...

Highlights
-I've never seen so many go-go dancers in my life...
-I like the High Dials, they were Flaming Lip-ish/Radiohead-ish...which reminds me...I gotta make that mix for JoMo
-Flaming Sideburns were great...lotta energy...the singer lifted the guitarist up in the air...
-Pete Best Band's cover of the Beatles "Twist and Shout"
-The Dictators, with awesome lyrics
-Nancy Sinatra singing a song written by Thurston Moore, it was like Nancy Sinatra singing a Sonic Youth song...it was strange, but good
-Bruce Springsteen getting booed at
-Big Pussy from Sopranos
-Bo Diddley was one of my favs, at the end he started rapping!
-Big Star, with "In the Street" aka That 70's Show Theme
-Romantics, with "What I Like About You"
-The New York Dolls and Strokes, both awesome...God bless the Strokes, they shook the hairs out of my hair holes...
-Some guy was dancing, so we started dancing along with him...and he got mad or something...and made a "come hither" motion...that scared us...so we ran away....

They kept having to stall because the rotating stage broke down after like the 10th band...
The crowd was nasty...
I got beer spilled all over me during the NY Dolls set....

Non-stop standing for 11 hours...we left in the middle of the Stooges set...cause our feet fuckin hurt...
That donut and juice was the only thing I had until 11pm...
Got to Wendy's and ordered the biggest burger (Classic Triple)....and super-sized it...
Half pound of beef.....mmm....devoured the thing in like 2 minutes...

Overall the concert was a great experience...
I know there won't be another Woodstock anytime soon...because of all the violence at Woodstock '99...but this felt like Woodstock to me...idk
Little Steven's International Underground Garage Festival...Woodstock for the new generation?
Yes, perhaps...the spirit of rock n' roll lives on...

and it could all be gone"
