Bright Eyes Concert...

The Bright Eyes Concert was on Thursday @ Town Hall...
It was a lot better than expected, I went into the concert not expecting much, but they came through and put on a great show....

The first band was crazy...Coco Rosie...4 people dressed up in 80s clothes, when they came out I thought they were go-go dancers...
There was no drummer...instead of having a normal drummer, one of the girls tap danced on this aluminum trampoline thing while a microphone was on the ground...very creative and it work out nicely....
The second band was Tilly and the Wall, and they were really really trippy...
No drummer either, instead they had a guy with a feathery Native American decorative headgear...and he beatboxed into the mic...
One of the femal vocalists sounded like the Wicked Witch of the West on ecstasy and the other woman sang in falsetto, like an opera singer....
They had kid toys, little xylophones and sound machines made for kids that they used as rhythm for their songs....
Very different....

Bright Eyes hit the stage around 10 and rattled off a strong set, however they didn't play their single, which can be both a good and bad thing...
Some of the lyrics really hit home for me....and some of his songs were political....
For the encore they brought a baby out...the encore didn't start for like 10 minutes, when it finally started it lasted for like 30 minutes...
At the end, he summoned the feedback gods, and the entire band trashed the stage...
Overall a good show...

Interpol in approximately a month from now...

"When the president talks to god
does he fake that drawl or merely nod?
Agree which convicts should be killed?
Where the prison's built and filled?"
